they say a leopard never changes its spots. it must just be true.
well. i got $50 stolen from me, in camp.
there might have been a slight oversight on my part.
my unit is quite small. and i pretty much know everybody. and its unlikely that anyone would want to steal from their camp mate. well, not everybody, but most of them. there is one who comes to mind, and he has a history of theft.
i always try not to judge a person by his/her history. i will still be nice to you, but is there a need to take advantage of it?
i place my trust in you, i give everybody a clean slate.
and yet people misplace this trust i give them.
im quite disheartened. i confronted the suspected person and yet he denied everything from the start. didnt you hear me? i told you clearly i wasnt going to judge you by your history. and yet you kept denying it. what am i supposed to think?
its not $5 or $10. its $50. which makes up 1/8 of my pay. which in turn makes it quite a significant portion.
i had absolutely no intention of blowing this matter up. if i found my money, and the person apologized, all would be well. i wouldnt pursue the matter.
well, i dont have much to say. i guess i have to learn to put up walls now.
i shant let my guard down that easily. people simply cant be trusted.
except a few close to me of course. you know who you are.
and of course, you, my baby.
a leopard never changes its spots.
remember it well.
